About Trevor Marchuk

I am a Drake University graduate with a degree in public relations, seeking a position where I can utilize my analytical and interpersonal skills.

Recently I had the opportunity to intern at Weber Shandwick, a global public relations firm, where I received exposure to campaigns for high profile brands such as Mars Chocolate, Big Ten and Unilever. During my time at Weber Shandwick, my focus was on the ALDI grocery stores account, where my efforts centered on the logistics of obtaining and analyzing media coverage for the expanding grocery chain.

During my senior year of college, I interned at the Integer Group, an advertising firm, where I worked in the account service department for the Michelin Tires North America account. This experience required me to be incredibly meticulous as I ran quality assurance and conducted frequent competitor analysis. This role also gave me the chance to take part in strategy meetings that allowed me to understand the bigger picture of how agencies operate.

Before graduating, my final project for my public relations coursework involved completing a yearlong capstone, that included a semester of extensive research examining a local nonprofit’s previous public relations efforts, as well as its potential for future growth. Based off the data gathered during the primary phase of the project, the second semester entailed forming agency teams to build a comprehensive public relations strategy plan for the organization. This project taught me how to conduct and examine research as well as about the process of building a feasible proposal for a business.
